I allways loved coloring my hair.
From the time I was a teen, I’ve been blonde, jet black, red, pink – you name it – I’ve tried it. 🙂
Then as I learned about the potency of chemicals in salon haircare, I received guidance from my spiritual team to no longer go to a hair stylist and to instead handle my own hair care – the organic, natural Way.
Enter MOUNTAIN LIGHT NATURAL.
This organic hair coloring is easy-to-use and can last 8-10 weeks (depending on the health and vitality of your hair of course). It uses all natural, organic henna and you’ll Love it!
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Mountain Light Natural henna hair coloring
- 1 glass or plastic bowl
- 1 wooden or plastic spoon
- 12-16 ounces of alkaline water, boiled in a glass mixing cup or bowl in the microwave or in a non-metal saucepan.
- 1t organic ginger
Step one: Boil water in a glass container (3 minutes in the microwave if you have one).
Step two: Pour boiling water into a plastic or glass bowl filled with the henna hair coloring (if you have medium-length or short hair or your hair isn’t super porous – only use half the package of henna).
Step three: Mix the henna with the plastic spoon until it’s the consistency of yogurt. Sprinkle in the ginger (it helps eliminate any henna smell :)) and mix it in until well-blended.
Step four: Let henna mixture sit for 30 minutes or more, depending on the directions for that color. Bless it for your most aligned hair coloring experience!
Step five:Â Wash hair with shampoo (no conditioner) and then towel dry and comb through.
Step six: Using the gloves provided in the kit, slather your hair and scalp with the henna. Make sure you have a towel protecting your clothing and floor.
Step seven: Once your hair is saturated, pile it on top of your head and cover with the plastic cap provided. Tie cap (I like to at the top – see step eight for why) to secure it on your precious head.
Step eight: Wrap your head in a bandana to up the cool factor (my husband calls me Tupac-apocalyse ;)) and chill for up to 4 hours (check the package to see how long your particular color wants to marinate for).
Step nine: At the end of your integration period, keep your gloves on and rinse your hair until the water runs clear. Slather the ends of your hair in conditioner after and then rinse. Rinse gloves and keep for future hair coloring use (I reuse all items in the kit.)
Step ten: Style your hair as you desire it and admire how next-level Goddess Gorgeous you look! Go out and shine your Light. <3
