Superfood Hemp Smoothie

Metaphysical Menu Superfood Hemp Smoothie

I’m not gonna lie, my smoothie game is strong.

A long-time and proud owner of a Vitamix (which I make everything in!), I love coming up with delish smoothie concoctions – which are perfect during the warm months of the year. They are also the perfect, easy healthy recipe.

I do believe in the power of the seasons and giving our body warm nourishing foods in the cold months and cooler foods in the hot months (thank you for my years of Chinese Medicine training from Gilly Adkins and Dr. Janet Galipo).

So now that summer is upon us – it’s smoothie time!

  • 1 c unsweetened Tempt vanilla hemp milk, I’ve tried all the brands – Tempt is the best. BTW, anytime I make a product recommend it’s 111% because I’ve tried many options and this is the best one. I will never recommend a product I haven’t tried and Love. #justsayin
  • 1 c fresh, organic bunch of spinach or kale greens, chopped
  • 1 organic banana, split in two
  • 1 T organic almond butter
  • 1/2 c organic blueberries or raspberries (frozen is fine too)
  • 1 t SuperGreen, organic superfood mix.
I’ve tried so many mixes and most of them – let’s be 100 – are terrible and powdery. Or they’re filled with chemicals and sugar, and are not aligned for those who eat consciously. Your Super is run by two lovers who have an incredible story of health and healing. To top it off, their superfood mixes are the best of the best – we have tried every mix they offer. I also highly recommend their Skinny Protein mix if you want a great vegan protein powder that doesn’t taste like all of the other protein powders (#gross). All of the highest quality, whole foods ingredients are used as well, making YourSuper the #1 in my book of superfood mixes for smoothies!

Place all ingredients in your fave blender (the Magic Bullet is perfect for traveling or if a Vitamix isn’t your jam) and blend away for 3-7 minutes until thoroughly blended. Pour over ice or drink as is.

Be sure to bless your smoothie and offer up a toast/aka prayer for the day! Xo
