Who says adults can’t have tea parties?
No one, absolutely no one.
Which is why we just had a tea party for one of the mommas in our community.
I had a vision of making these GF DF cucumber tea sandwiches, and so I had to do it. #youknowhowitis
They were OFF-THE-CHARTS DELICIOUS.
So, Get out your fave organic tea & make these tea sandwiches, along with some of our BROWNIES CUT INTO BITE-SIZE PIECES – and you’ll have yourself a sweet little tea party.
Ingredients:
- 2 loaves of organic, gluten-free bread, crusts trimmed off – makes 10 sandwiches, or 20 halves.
- 1 container of Miyoko’s dairy-free scallion cream cheese
- 1 container of Mikyoko’s dairy-free plain cream cheese
- 1 medium organic cucumber, thinly sliced
Step one: After trimming all crusts off of the bread, make stacks of 2 slices of bread on a cutting board or flat, protected surface. Slather one piece of the 2 with scallion cream cheese (be generous). Place a small amount of plain cream cheese on the other piece of bread.
Step two: Thinly slice cucumber.
Step three: Place 2 cucumber slices on the piece of bread with the scallion cream cheese. Then place the piece with a small amount of plain cream cheese on top of it.
Step four: With a sharp and clean knife, cut each sandwich diagonally – so that each half is in the shape of a triangle.
Step five: Bless these tea sandwiches, and serve and eat them with delight!
